1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy applies to the EvoPace Coaching website, web application, coaching features, and integrations (collectively, “EvoPace”). EvoPace is currently in private development.
For questions about this policy or how your information is handled, contact [email protected].
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
This may include your email address, display name, primary sport, time zone, training preferences, availability, and account identifiers.
Training, fitness, and wellness information
When you provide it or authorize a connection, this may include completed and planned activities, workout structure, distance, duration, pace, speed, power, cadence, heart rate, training load, fitness, fatigue, form, recovery indicators, body measurements, routes, and activity timestamps.
Goals and coaching information
This may include races, target dates and times, training plans, calendar changes, session feedback, coach-chat messages, generated insights, and your approvals or rejections of suggested workouts.
Connection and technical information
We may store provider account identifiers, granted permission scopes, access tokens, synchronization status, error records, browser or device information, and security logs needed to maintain a reliable connection. Passwords for connected services are not collected by EvoPace.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate your account and maintain your athlete workspace.
- Import and organize authorized activity, wellness, and calendar data.
- Calculate training metrics and explain progress toward your goals.
- Generate personalized coaching insights and session suggestions.
- Let you review, modify, approve, and synchronize planned workouts.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve EvoPace.
- Respond to support, privacy, and data-deletion requests.
We process information to provide the service you request, with your consent for optional integrations, and where necessary for security and legitimate operational purposes.
4. Connected services
You choose whether to connect third-party services. Each service shows the permissions requested before you authorize access, and you can revoke access from EvoPace or the provider.
Intervals.icu
EvoPace may use Intervals.icu OAuth to read athlete-authorized activities, wellness information, settings, and calendar data, and to create or update planned workouts you approve. Intervals.icu may also act as a user-configured bridge to Garmin or other services.
Garmin
During development, Garmin connectivity may be provided through the athlete’s own Intervals.icu connection. Garmin authentication happens on Garmin or Intervals.icu systems. EvoPace does not receive or store your Garmin password.
Strava and other providers
If enabled, EvoPace may import athlete-authorized activity information from Strava or another provider. Data received from a provider is handled under this policy and remains subject to the provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
Disconnecting a provider stops future access. Previously imported information can be removed through the process described on our Data Deletion page.
5. AI-assisted coaching
EvoPace uses automated systems and AI service providers to generate coaching explanations, insights, and proposed sessions. Relevant training context may be sent to a configured AI provider when needed to answer your request or create an insight.
We aim to minimize direct identifiers in AI requests. AI-generated coaching can be incomplete or incorrect and is provided for informational training support, not medical diagnosis or treatment. You remain in control of calendar changes and should use your own judgment, especially when injured, unwell, or returning to training.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account and coaching information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Connection tokens are retained only while the connection remains enabled or until they expire or are revoked.
When a verified deletion request is completed, active account data is removed or anonymized. Limited records may remain temporarily in protected backups or where retention is legally required. See How to delete your data.
8. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect athlete information, including access controls, encrypted transport, scoped authorization, and restricted credential storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for cross-border processing.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information, or withdraw consent. You can also disconnect a fitness provider at any time.
To exercise a privacy right, email [email protected]. We may request reasonable verification before acting to protect the account from unauthorized requests.
Children
EvoPace is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as EvoPace develops. Material changes will be communicated through the application or another appropriate channel, and the revision date will be updated here.
